This year Project Run and Play is having monthly challenges based on a free pattern/ tutorial shared by a featured blogger. This month'
featured blogger is from "Alida Makes " and featured a bubble dress. You can sew up the pattern/tutorial exactly as is, change a
few things, or make an item inspired by Alida's choice. It's up to you!
Since my granddaughters are set for the winter here in Chicago, I thought I would think ahead to spring.
I bought the fabric for this outfit all because of this zipper....
I just love this zipper! It's turquoise with white and black teeth.
I wish I could say that the outfit went together in a snap, but I took out more errors and redid my sewing so many times that it took me days to complete the outfit since I keep taking
"breaks to preserve my sanity!"
"breaks to preserve my sanity!"
The black fabric kept rolling and rolling...
I wanted to make the bubble top out of a knit, so the bubble would launder well and not need any pressing.
Here's the finished project:
My granddaughter said that this outfit is made for dancing!!
And proceeded to dance during the rest of the photo shoot.
