School Mascot Hoodie

And the planning began:

First, we found this delightful bear panel through Whimsy Baby Customs. It was ALMOST what we were looking for...

A little magic was needed to make him the perfect school mascot representing the "Beardsley Bears."

That magic is called 

Reverse Applique.

A bit of hand embroidery 

completed the transformation.

 My granddaughters school's colors are orange and blue.  She designed this fun hoodie to be worn on school spirit days.  

What bear hoodie would be complete without bear ears?!!

Making Harry Potter's Castle Jacket

All cut out pieces

Then sew side seam of jacket and seam of sleeve .

Quartering sleeve edge and cuff edge.

Sew band around the edge of jacket.

  

Wonder Woman with Reverse Applique

On this t-shirt I used reverse applique to sew the Wonder Woman symbol.  

Isn't she pretty. I love the softness of watercolor.
