Magda, I agree that the ruffles would look quite nice in the back. The front ruffles did give a rather simple design some interest though. My other granddaughter wants a dress just like it "with butterflies!" Deborah
Such a cute dress! I know the first 2 commentors said that they think the ruffles would have looked better in the back, but I like them in the front! Ruffles in the back get sat on and then all smooshed.
Angela, My granddaughter liked the ruffles in the front. She kept saying, "Pretty, pretty." while touching the ruffles. Overall, I'm very happy with the dress. I will probably make another one for my other granddaughter. Deborah
The ruffles are oh so sweet. I love the contrast of the chevron ruffle fabric to the flower fabric. Great job. Your granddaughter is so lucky to have a grandma who makes pretty dresses for her.
I first thought the ruffles were on the back, I personally would have liked it better, but congratulations on your dress, it's adorable!

Love the contrast of fabrics! Well done!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter challenged me to start using bolder colors instead of so much pink, and pastels. Thanks for the compliment.
