I made the envelope style pillow and the bolsters. I plan to post about how to make the bolster. But, I just have to tell you how amazing this little sewing machine foot is...the piping foot. It makes making and applying piping SO MUCH easier. So come back and I"ll tell you all about it.

Love the contrasting pillows! I think your decorator friend nailed it -- that arrangement adds drama and visual appeal. It also sweeps the eye down to the lines of the custom made bench and then back up to the magnificent view, whereas the first one draws the eye right to the middle and you miss the beautiful bench and the view out the window, and the third one makes you look back and forth and all over the place because it's unclear with the focal point is supposed to be.
