Dick and Jane Denim Outfit

Tutorial coming soon about how I sewed this detachable collar.

Smiles,
Deborah
P.S.  This outfit was made for the 3rd Challenge: Denim,  for Season 10 of Project Run and Play. Happily, this outfit is already a winner, as she chose to wear it to school already.

    1. Thanks for your encouragement. It is a rather simple outfit, but when I sew for her... it must be comfortable or she won't wear it. I like it because it made me smile as I constructed it, and it lead to a little lesson on the internet about books that children in the 50's learned to read with.

    1. Beth,
I like the backpack too. It really made a difference that I quilted the base fabric. Thanks :)

  4. This is really a fun and versatile outfit. I think it is wonderful you could implement her sensory needs in the construction. I am sure she is feeling very comfortable and pretty as she heads to school! Love, Momma Shaffer

  5. Dear Momma Shaffer,
Yes, I did consider her sensory issues when sewing this outfit. I just finished my entry for next weeks, "Your Design Style' Challenge. It's all about the sensory issues I consider when sewing for her. Check it out next week, and thanks for your lovely comments on the Dick and Jane denim outfit.
